Hi.

Thank you for the wonderful port of Castle Danger on the Amiga.

I noticed that the game uses old game rules.

Just like they were at the beginning and in the PC version.

Later, Matt Worden introduced a modification, a very successful theme of reducing AP after purchasing when you have the same number or more pieces as your opponent.

Could you also make this change in your Amiga version?

With respect

Hi!

Yes, I am aware of the new rules, however, since this was a port from the PC version, I decided to leave the old rules as they were in the original. It's certainly possible to add them, maybe I'll even add a switch in the options menu to enable/disable Material Advantage Cost so that's it's possible to play both versions.

Thank you for your answer.

I'm happy that this option will be in the game.

I played with the AI and I can tell you it's not good.

I was a good player on the closed yourturnmyturn server, so if I can give you advice on how to increase the AI's game strength, I am at your service.

I don't know much about programming, but I know a lot about Castle Danger tactics.

PS. You can still play with me at superdupergames.org

Hi Jcksbk,

I found your game last month. I am writing for the Amiga Future and have a own category in the magazine which is called "Boardgame vs Amiga Version".

So your game is perfect for that category.

There will be a review about Castle Danger in the Amiga Future 163.

Hi!

Thanks for the interest. My main motivation behind porting it to the Amiga was to make the single player mode. I wish I could do it better but at least it kinda works. Maybe I'll improve it one day. Still, the two-player mode is where it's most fun.

By the way - did you know you can scroll the piece selection screen up and down by clicking and holding LMB on the title bar? I noticed that few people actually know about it. This way you can analyze the playfield behind before making a spawn.
